Day 1: Morning departure from North Wales and journey south to the Membly Hall Hotel in Falmouth for a 4-night stay. There will be comfort stops enroute.
Day 2: Truro and at Leisure in Falmouth
This morning, we visit historic Truro – the county town of Cornwall and the region's only city. At its centre you'll find vibrant shopping, cultural charms and impressive architecture, including the Gothic towers of the cathedral that dominate the skyline.
Afterwards, we’ll return to Falmouth where you can spend the afternoon at leisure. Several of Falmouth’s beaches are situated within a couple of minutes’ walk in either direction from the Hotel. Visit the multi award winning National Maritime Museum which also houses a huge collection of boats, re-tells stories of intrepid explorers from Captain Bligh & the Mutiny on the Bounty to Dame Ellen MacArthur and her solo trip around the globe or just explore the town with its galleries and eateries to relax and unwind.
Day 3: Isles of Scilly
We head to Penzance to catch the ‘Scillonian’ to enjoy a long, but worthwhile day visiting the Isles of Scilly. A unique, outstandingly beautiful and unspoilt destination, we’ll land on the island of St Mary’s and the ‘capital’ Hugh Town, with its beaches, shops, arts and crafts galleries and eateries.
Please be advised that you will need a level of mobility to access the ferry as foot passengers, the crossing takes approximately three hours. On the islands, you will encounter gradients and rough terrain.
Day 4: Porthleven, St Ives and Land’s End
A day visiting the charming Cornish villages and towns. Porthleven, known for its impressive harbour is home to an ever-growing colony of art galleries and craft shops promoting works by local artists and gaining quite the reputation for food.
Bustling is St Ives is recognised for beautiful sandy beaches, picturesque, cobbled streets and a rich cultural heritage. Drop into the seafront Tate St Ives gallery with exhibitions focusing on British artists. We’ll also visit Land's End – Britain's most south-westerly point on the mainland, which offers picture-perfect scenery in all directions, there’ll be time to take the obligatory photo next to the iconic signpost.
Day 5: We depart Cornwall after breakfast and make the return journey to North Wales. Once again, there will be comfort stops enroute.
