THE PAN CELTIC FESTIVAL: CARLOW 2026 & KILKENNY

Day 1 (Wednesday): Travel to Holyhead for the 9.30am ferry crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival we disembark and continue the journey to our hotel in Carlow for a 4-night stay. Take time to relax before your evening meal.

Day 2 (Thursday): After breakfast, you can enjoy a full day in Carlow and The Pan Celtic Festival.

Alternatively, join the coach for a full day excursion to Kilkenny, explore Ireland’s medieval capital at your own pace. Be sure to visit Kilkenny Castle, located above the broad sweep of the River Nore, while a pretty, humpbacked stone bridge leads up into narrow, cheerful streets lined with carefully maintained buildings.

Day 3 & 4 (Friday & Saturday): Free in Carlow to enjoy the events and competitions at The Pan Celtic Festival.

Day 5 (Sunday): We depart Carlow after breakfast and travel to Dublin. There will be free time before the mid-afternoon return sailing to Holyhead. Upon arrival we complete the journey home.

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

The Barrow Bistro serves fine food all day, cooked by the bistro's head chef, who previously trained Jamie Oliver and has cooked for celebrities and royalty. Guests can enjoy an a la carte menu and an extensive wine list.
