The Pan Celtic Festival promotes and fosters Celtic languages, culture, music, song and sport. Wales has been represented at the Festival since its inception in 1971. Festival enthusiasts have enjoyed some amazing highlights over the years – seeing the colourful dancers in the ancient streets of some of the Emerald Isle’s towns and listening to the traditional and modern music of the Celtic Countries.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Wednesday): Travel to Holyhead for the 9.30am ferry crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival we disembark and continue the journey to our hotel in Carlow for a 4-night stay. Take time to relax before your evening meal.

Day 2 (Thursday): After breakfast, you can enjoy a full day in Carlow and The Pan Celtic Festival.

Alternatively, join the coach for a full day excursion to Kilkenny, explore Ireland’s medieval capital at your own pace. Be sure to visit Kilkenny Castle, located above the broad sweep of the River Nore, while a pretty, humpbacked stone bridge leads up into narrow, cheerful streets lined with carefully maintained buildings.

Day 3 & 4 (Friday & Saturday): Free in Carlow to enjoy the events and competitions at The Pan Celtic Festival.

Day 5 (Sunday): We depart Carlow after breakfast and travel to Dublin. There will be free time before the mid-afternoon return sailing to Holyhead. Upon arrival we complete the journey home.
