Day 1: Friday 18 July 2025 - Travel to Liège
Early hours of the morning departure from North Wales (approx. 1.00am) and travel to Dover for our short ferry crossing to Calais. Upon arrival, we continue our journey through Belgium to our hotel in Liège, for arrival mid-afternoon. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is free to do as you wish in Liège, perhaps visit one of the local eateries for a hearty meal.
Day 2: Saturday 19 July 2025 – Liège, Maastricht & André Rieu
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day exploring the charming town of Liège at your own pace. Take the opportunity to wander through its historic streets, enjoy a coffee in a local café, or visit one of its many cultural attractions.
During the late afternoon we'll make the 35-minute coach journey to Maastricht, the hometown of André Rieu. Absorb the carnival atmosphere in the historic centre and in particular, Stokstraat Quarter. Nearly all in attendance will have descended on South Holland from all corners of the globe to catch a glimpse of André Rieu and his phenomenal orchestra. Tonight, you can enjoy dinner at leisure in one of Maastricht’s fabulous restaurants before the long-awaited concert begins at 8.00pm.
Settle into your Category 3 seats and immerse yourself in the ambience. Instantaneously, you will be swept up in the special aura that will build in the open-air theatre as the buzz of excitement and anticipation accompanies the tuning of the instruments, then after a touch of tranquility, the euphoria will be set in motion as the ‘king of the Waltz’ enters the stage... Afterwards, return to the hotel.
Day 3: Sunday 20 July 2025 - Travel Home
After a memorable trip, it's time to hit the road as we depart Liège following breakfast and travel to Calais for the return ferry crossing to Dover. Afterwards, we complete the journey back home to North Wales.
