Day 1: Early morning departure from North Wales and travel to Gretna Green, the wedding capital of the UK with over 260 years of history and heritage. Visit the Famous Blacksmiths Shop Museum - 'Old Smithy' situated at the heart of Gretna Green village. After some time at leisure, we continue to our hotel in the village of Drymen for a 3-night stay.
Day 2: After enjoying a full breakfast at the hotel, guests will depart by coach for a day of discovery and choice. Guests will have the option to spend the day exploring the historic city of Edinburgh at thier own pace—wander the Royal Mile, visit the iconic Edinburgh Castle, or relax in one of the city’s charming cafes and gardens. Alternatively, you may choose to attend the Royal Highland Show, Scotland’s premier agricultural event, where you can enjoy everything from livestock displays and equestrian events to local food, crafts, and entertainment. Both groups will be picked up in the late afternoon and return to the hotel in time to relax before the evening.
Day 3: After breakfast at the hotel, you will once again have a choice of activities for Day 3. You can enjoy a day trip to Glasgow, where you’ll have free time to explore the vibrant city centre, shop along Buchanan Street, or relax in one of the many cafes and museums. Alternatively, you may choose to return to the Royal Highland Show to experience more of its fantastic events, food, and rural attractions. The coach will collect both groups in the afternoon for the return journey to the hotel.
Day 4: Depart our hotel after breakfast and make the return journey home to North Wales. En-route we will visit the historic market town of Penrith, located in Cumbria’s Eden Valley close to the Scottish Borders.
