Day 1: Travel to Holyhead for the morning ferry crossing to Dublin Port. We continue to our hotel near Dundalk for a 4-night stay. Upon arrival you may want to relax by making use of the hotel’s leisure facilities before your evening meal.
Day 2: Belfast & Guided City Tour by Coach
After breakfast we journey to Belfast, upon arrival we will be met by a local guide for a panoramic coach tour of the city. See the original narrow streets of 17th century Belfast and landmarks such as the City Hall, the Albert Clock and the Ulster Hall. The tour will also include photo stops at the Stormont parliament buildings, the iconic Queens University, the famous International Wall political murals on the Falls Road and the peace wall, which divides the Republican and Unionist populations of west Belfast. There you will have the unique opportunity to write a message of hope to the people of Belfast!
Afterwards, enjoy some time at leisure in this vibrant city. You may want to visit the award-winning Titanic Belfast. Over one hundred years on from the launch of the world’s most famous ship, experience the amazing Titanic story in the city of her birth – Belfast. Take a thrilling ride through Titanic’s construction in the shipyards, re-live the drama of her sinking and visit her wreck on the ocean floor all during your time at the Titanic Belfast Centre.
Day 3: Game of Thrones Film Locations & Ulster Folk Museum
Enjoy an Irish breakfast before we depart on a scenic drive that takes in some famous Game of Thrones filming locations including Carrickfergus Castle, Carnlough Village, Dunluce Castle, Larry Bane Quarry and The Dark Hedges.
In the afternoon we visit the Ulster Folk Museum, an incredible living history museum, which lets visitors experience life in Ireland over 100 years ago. The museum ranks among Ireland's foremost visitor attractions. The Folk Museum houses a variety of old buildings and dwellings which have been collected from various parts of Ireland and rebuilt in the grounds of the museum, brick by brick.
Day 4: Armagh
After an Irish breakfast, we visit the city of Armagh. It is the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland – the seat of the Archbishops of Armagh, the Primates of All Ireland for both the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Ireland. The hilltop cathedrals that overlook Armagh city are both dedicated to St. Patrick. This is where he founded his original stone church in 445AD. You can visit St Patrick’s Cathedral, a beautiful Gothic revival church with stunning stained-glass windows and mosaics. The County Museum also is well worth a visit – with its distinctive collection of ceramics, military clothing, wedding dresses and connections with the historic county.
During the afternoon we will return to our hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure, take time to make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities which includes a leisure centre, a fitness centre and the therapeutic Serenity Spa.
Day 5: Enjoy a final hearty Irish breakfast before we depart the hotel and travel to Dublin, enjoy some free time before our return sailing from Dublin Port to Holyhead.
