Day 1: Morning departure from North Wales and travel to Leeds city centre. Enjoy some time at leisure, Leeds offers a fantastic range of designer shops and independent boutiques.
We continue to our hotel on the outskirts of Leeds. After an early dinner, the remainder of the evening is free to do as you wish. Perhaps make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities or enjoy a relaxing drink at the bar.
Day 2: Enjoy a full day and evening in historic York. Make your way through the medieval web of narrow streets to the annual St Nicholas Fair, one of the most popular festive markets in the country. Like stepping into a scene from a Dickens’ tale, the lively Victorian market stalls sell everything from local produce to traditional gifts and crafts. Treat yourself to delicious food, fresh from the farmers’ market or indulge in a glass of warming mulled wine. We will make the return journey to the hotel at 9.00pm.
Day 3: After breakfast we travel to Barnsley and visit Cannon Hall Farm (entrance included). A large, family run, farm attraction, sitting in the rolling Pennine foothills, it’s home to hundreds of animals, waiting to welcome you to a world of animal magic.
The farm features a shop, which is well stocked with meat and baked goods. Initially it had just one small counter selling meat with a few other shelves selling jams, preserves and gifts. Over the years, demand has grown, so much so that it now sells everything from cookware to their own baked goods, ready meals and award-winning breads and pies lovingly created in the on-site bakery. Afterwards, we continue our journey home to North Wales.
