Itinerary

Day 1: Wednesday 30 December 2026

Morning departure from North Wales and travel to Scotland with a stop at Gretna Green. Then to our hotel in the village of Drymen for a 3-night stay.  

Afternoon tea will be served on arrival. Tonight sit down to a 3-course dinner, followed by an evening of live entertainment.

Day 2: New Year’s Eve – Thursday 31 December 2026

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we embark on a short excursion to a local destination.

We return to the hotel for afternoon tea and to prepare for tonight’s New Year festivities.

This evening, celebrate the New Year in style!! Enjoy pre-dinner drinks with a piper, before being piped in for dinner. Sit down to a spectacular 4-course New Year's Gala Dinner followed by a live Ceilidh Band and Disco which will keep you dancing to the wee small hours.

Day 3: New Year’s Day – Friday 1 January 2027

This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast. This afternoon we take a short excursion to the picture-postcard, conservation village of Luss. Located on the western shore of Loch Lomond it has a rich history dating back to medieval times. Head to the end of the pier to enjoy the spectacular view of Ben Lomond or choose from a range of short walking trails which explore the village.

We return to the hotel in time for this evening’s 3-course dinner, followed by live entertainment.

Day 4: Saturday 2 January 2027

After a final full Scottish breakfast and a farewell Hot Toddy we bid farewell and make the return journey home to North Wales. We will stop for lunch in Gretna Green.

The Buchanan Hotel is situated in the conservation village of Drymen, in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, with a whisky bar, stylish rooms and a restaurant, there is also a leisure club.
