Day 1: Travel to Holyhead for the morning ferry crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival we journey to the picturesque village of Adare, known for its cute, thatched roof cottages. Afterwards, continue our journey to our hotel, the 4-star Killarney Towers Hotel and Leisure Centre for a 4-night stay. Take time to relax and make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities before dinner this evening.
Day 2: Today enjoy an excursion around the famous Ring of Kerry. For many, the Ring of Kerry is the highlight of this tour. Formed during the last ice age, this picturesque peninsula with its lush countryside and ocean views, makes it a wonderful coastal drive. Along the way you will experience the captivating beauty and breath-taking scenery that makes up this unmissable area of Ireland.
Experience some of its traditional villages - Kilorgin, Glenbeigh, Caherclveen, Waterville, Sneem and Kenmare. We will stop for coffee at the The Red Fox Inn, an old traditional pub, located adjacent to the Kerry Bog Village. Should you wish, you can pay the small entrance charge to the Kerry Bog Village, an open-air museum which recreates a 19th-century bog village with thatched homes, a dairy, and animals like Kerry bog ponies and Irish wolfhounds.
We’ll end the tour at the Queen’s View, a stunning panorama of the Lakes of Killarney and the surrounding mountains. It is considered one of Ireland's most photographed and finest viewpoints and is an essential stop for anyone touring the Ring of Kerry.
Day 3: A day at leisure in Killarney, this bustling little town oozes traditional Irish charm. A regular winner of Ireland’s Tidy Town competition, Killarney is a great place to explore.
We have included a 50-minute ride on the famous horse-drawn Jaunting Cars, starting from Kenmare Place and finishing at Ross Castle followed by a boat cruise on the Lakes of Killarney, located in the nearby Killarney National Park.
Day 4: Drive along the Dingle Peninsula to witness the breath-taking scenery along Ireland’s most westerly point. The whole area is rich in ruined fortresses and ancient burial grounds, traditional currach buildings and handicraft centres.
Included is a Dingle Bay ‘Dolphin’ Boat Cruise. Wake a two-hour guided tour around Dingle Bay. Cruise along the magnificent 350-million-year-old sandstone cliff formations on the northern coastline. Turn out into Dingle Bay to search for dolphins and whales while identifying the vast array of seabird species that you will encounter.
Day 5: After a leisurely breakfast we depart the hotel and travel to Dublin, enjoy some time at leisure before the afternoon return ferry crossing to Holyhead.
