Day 1 (Christmas Eve): Travel and Gretna Green ‘Anvil’
Travel to Scotland with a stop at The Famous Blacksmiths Shop Museum, situated at the heart of Gretna Green village. It is the world-famous, historic home of the anvil wedding and has been at the centre of runaway love, since the Marriage Act of 1754. Then to our hotel in the village of Drymen for a 3-night stay.
Enjoy a welcome drinks reception on arrival followed by your evening meal and entertainment.
Day 2 (Christmas Day): Glasgow
This morning, we travel to Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow. The day is free to do as you wish.
Visit Glasgow Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, George Square, Riverside Museum, Botanical Gardens or Kelvingrove Park or simply do some Christmas shopping in the city centre.
This evening sit-down to a Traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings followed by a visit from Father Christmas with a gift for all.
Day 3 (New Year’s Eve): Edinburgh
After breakfast, we travel to Edinburgh, where the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Whether you choose to wander the historic streets, visit iconic landmarks, or simply soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere, you’ll have ample time to explore.
Celebrate ‘Hogmanay’ this evening with a Traditional Scottish Dinner followed by entertainment.
Day 4: Travel home
After breakfast we depart Scotland and return home to North Wales. There will be a stop for lunch in Gretna Green Shopping Outlet.
