Day 1: Depart North Wales and travel to Leeds, after some time at leisure we continue to our Humberside hotel for a 4-night stay.
Day 2: Historic York - This morning we travel to historic York. Encircled by city walls, York is one of England’s most historical cities and is dominated by its 1383-year-old Minster. Explore York’s twisting passageways known as the “Shambles” or visit the Railway Museum or Jorvik Centre. A good way of seeing the city is on a boat cruise on the River Ouse.
Day 3: Yorkshire’s Golden Coast - We start by visiting Scarborough, North Yorkshire’s most popular seaside resort. We travel through Flamborough Head, a rugged peninsula featuring soaring chalk cliffs, a 17th-century lighthouse & sweeping coastal views to the traditional seaside resort of Filey, the gentle pace of life, long sandy beaches and historic promenade attracting generations of visitors. We conclude with a visit to the elegant promenades of bright and breezy Bridlington. With its sandy beaches, award-winning promenades and historic harbour, this is a hidden seaside gem.
Day 4: RAF Conningsby & Dambusters Memorial - Full day touring Lincolnshire with guided tour of RAF Coningsby, it is home to the Typhoon Force Headquarters and three front-line Eurofighter Typhoons. Coningsby is also the home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) which operates a variety of historic RAF aircraft. This afternoon we continue to the town of Woodhall Spa and the Dambusters Memorial, a must visit for any aviation enthusiast.
Day 5: We depart our hotel travel to the National Coal Mining Museum for England, based at the site of Caphouse Colliery in Overton, Wakefield (admission included). We complete our return journey to North Wales during the afternoon.
